Kona's Premier Gala Benefit, a Culinary Arts and Wine Extravaganza

KA‘UPULEHU-KONA—Kona Village Resort rolls out the red and green carpet for the Big Isle’s premier holiday gala, "Christmas at Kona Village, Dining with the Chefs" Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010.

Presented by the American Culinary Federation Kona Kohala Chefs Association, this holiday extravaganza marks its 22th year with tantalizing cuisine prepared by top Hawai‘i chefs. Showcasing the culinary talents of Kona Kohala chefs, the gala benefit features fine wines, handcrafted ales, island music and an impressive live auction featuring private chef dinners.

This benefit assists culinary arts students at Hawaii Community College-West Hawaii, Junior Culinarians in Hawaii Island High School culinary art programs through scholarship assistance. Additionally, it offers scholarship assistance to professional chefs and cooks to participate in continuing education programs.

Attendance to this exclusive affair is limited to 500 and ticket price is $75 per person. In addition, private tables of 10 with guaranteed seating will be available for $1,000. Tickets go on sale mid-October at Kailua Candy Company and Clark Realty and may be charged by phoning 329-2522.
